So what do I have to do to host a party?
Well first you need to organize some friends. Party Meeple is happy to come to any party , but it's best to have some where between 7 and 10 people. Party Meeple would love it if you could give us a good idea about how many people will be there in advance. Your Party Meeple demonstrator will visit you for about 2 hours any evening mid week. In this time you will get to learn and play 2 games typically. We can hear you asking the question from here, "How will we have time to learn and play 2 games in 2 hours"? Well with Euro games this is a snap. The beginner level Euro Game is not a long game like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit or Risk. Many People enjoy these longer games, but as a Euro Game is much quicker you may want to play it two or three times in a session.
Here's what you do
OK, you have your guests and a place to have the party. You will also need two tables. A dining table is a good start, a mid sized coffee table in the lounge is good for the other. Party Meeple will generally bring 2 games to demonstrate. One will need a normal sized dining table, a coffee table bigger than 70cm x 50cm is fine for the other.
As a host to the party, you'll probably want to have some drinks and nibbles for your guests. This is great but we would ask you not to put them out until the games have been demonstrated. Our demonstration games need to survive many outings and they are very scared of drink spills. Once every body has stopped pointing and asking questions, drinks and games get on better.
Pick your party
We actually do three different parties. A Beginner Party, a Intermediate Party and a Custom Party.
If more than 1 or two of your friends have not been to a Beginner Party Meeple demonstration then
we do not recommend doing anything other than that. If most of you have seen a beginner
demonstration, then you are ready for a Intermediate party. We'll discuss custom parties as you get to them.
There is no cost to host a Party Meeple Beginner or Intermediate demonstration at your home. Like the people that sell undies and plastic storage containers, we hope you'll like what we have so much, you'll buy some from us.
